Wardley Strategic Cycle
Source: Learn Wardley Mapping
The Strategic Cycle created by Simon Wardley is a process of making strategic decisions (leadership) based on the purpose (“the game”), a description of the competitive landscape (a map), the external forces acting on the landscape (climate), and the training of your people (doctrine).
It is based on Sun Tzu: The Art of War and his minimum set of considerations required for strategic decision-making.

A Wardley Map visualizes the playing field within which you identify fitting Where-to-play and How-to-win options.
In Markus Andrezak Trying to define Strategy framework (markers, options, work), a Wardley map with specific WTP/HTW choices are one way of marking your company’s differentiation.
